What is a hot foil stamping machine?

The hot foil stamping machine, also known as a gilding press, is a name heard more and more in the promotional products trade. Using a heated upper plate and a die, it transfers foil onto the product to produce embossed branding. Piton Makina is a manufacturer of these machines.

Where is hot foil stamping used?

  • Promotional products: Series-produced boxes, jewellery boxes, notebooks, paper and napkins are branded with foil.
  • Footwear: Brand marks are stamped onto shoe soles.
  • Party supplies: Brand names or lettering are stamped onto series-produced napkins.
  • Engagement and special-occasion accessories: Foil colours are used on engagement trays and similar items.
  • Decorative items: Embossed foil stamping is applied to products such as wall clocks.
  • Publishing: Brand marks are stamped onto books, notebooks and similar publications.
  • Cylindrical items: Cylinders and similar surfaces can also be stamped.
