What is a baler and what does it bring to my business?
A baler is a machine that uses hydraulic force to compress waste such as cardboard, paper, plastic film and PET into neat bales that can be tied. Compressed waste takes up far less space: your storage area is freed up, the workplace stays tidy and handling becomes easier. Baled material is easier to send for recycling and is preferred by recycling companies, so your waste can become a source of value rather than just a cost.
What is the difference between a vertical and a horizontal baler?
In a vertical baler the press plate moves from top to bottom. These machines have a small footprint, are run by a single operator and suit small and medium-sized businesses such as supermarkets, warehouses, hotels, workshops and factories. Horizontal balers compress the material along a horizontal axis; they are designed for high-volume businesses and recycling plants, offer higher press force and can be integrated into continuously running lines. The more waste you produce each day, the more efficient a horizontal baler becomes.
Which capacity should I choose?
Three questions decide the choice: how much waste do you produce per day, how will you move the bales, and how much room do you have for the machine? Our vertical models cover bale weights from about 40 kg to 650 kg; the actual bale weight depends on the material being pressed. Compact models suit small volumes and tight spaces, while larger vertical models or horizontal balers are better for heavy waste flows. Whether you will move the bales by hand, with a pallet truck or with a forklift also matters. Tell us your waste type and daily volume and we will identify the right model together.
Which materials can be baled?
Our balers handle materials such as cardboard, paper, plastic and stretch film, PET bottles, textile waste and aluminium cans. For waste such as scrap metal, tyres, sacks, drums and glass bottles we have purpose-built machines: metal balers, a tyre baler, a sack press, a drum crusher and a glass crusher. You can see which machine suits your waste from the applications listed on the product pages, or simply tell us your waste type and ask.
What electrical supply does the machine need?
Most of our balers run on a 380 V three-phase supply, while some compact models run on 220 V single-phase. The supply voltage and motor power of each model are given in the technical table on its product page. If the electrical infrastructure at your site is different, just let us know at the quotation stage and we will clarify the suitable option together.
How much space does the machine take up?
The height, width and depth of each model are listed under "Machine dimensions" in the technical table on its product page. When planning the layout, allow not only for the machine itself but also for working space in front for loading and bale removal, the ceiling height and the height of the door the machine will pass through; a transport height is given separately for some models. Share the dimensions of your space and we will help you with the layout.
How is the bale tied and removed from the machine?
On vertical balers, once the bale is formed, twine or wire is passed through the tying channels in the press plate and the bale is tied by hand. The bale ejector then pushes the bale forward so that it can be taken directly onto a pallet or pallet truck. On the semi-automatic horizontal baler the bale is likewise tied by hand with wire. The number of tying rows and the ejection mechanism vary by model; you will find the details on the relevant product page.
Do you build machines in custom sizes or tonnages?
Yes. Alongside our standard models, we review requests for special production according to the bale size, tonnage or machine height you need. You can send your waste type, the bale size you want and any space constraints to info@pitonmakina.com or through the quotation form. Technical feasibility and terms are clarified at the quotation stage.
Which payment options are available?
We offer payment by letter of credit, credit card, cheque and leasing. Which option applies, and on what terms, is clarified at the quotation stage according to the scope of the order and the method of delivery.
How is delivery handled, and do you ship abroad?
We deliver throughout Türkiye and export regularly. We have representatives in the Netherlands, Germany, Kosovo, Albania, Lebanon and Iraq. Some models are delivered from stock, while others are built to order. Lead time, shipping method and export documents depend on the model and the delivery address; all of these are clarified at the quotation stage.
Do you provide installation and operator training?
Our machines are delivered ready to run, together with an operating manual. Operator training is given through the videos on our YouTube channel or in a one-to-one video session, and installation support is provided on request. The scope of installation and training is clarified at the quotation stage.
How do service and spare parts support work?
We stay with you after the sale. If you have a problem or a question, you can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail seven days a week, and our team will work with you on a quick solution. For spare parts, simply send a request stating your machine model. The scope and terms of the warranty are clarified at the quotation stage.
