What is a baler?

The word “bale” may first bring hay bales to mind, but in recycling it means something different. A baler is a machine that compresses waste with a press plate that moves up and down on a hydraulic system. Because the compressed block that comes out resembles a bale, the machine is known by this name in the market.

Why has it become so common?

  • It compresses paper and cardboard waste into compact, box-shaped blocks.
  • It saves floor space by reducing the area that waste takes up.
  • Compressed bales are easier and more economical to transport.

For these reasons, balers are used in almost every business that produces waste on a regular basis. If paper and cardboard waste is piling up at your site too, we recommend considering a baler.
