Unfortunately, not every seller in the market trades honestly. At Piton Makina we always try to deal with our customers in an honest way, and we would like to share some tips on what to look out for when buying a machine.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Does the company have corporate social media accounts? If so, how active are they?
- Does the company have an office? Are there sample machines of its own make on display there? Any seller will show you a factory; having products in the sales office is an important sign.
- Are its representatives active in trade organisations? Whether the owners or managers hold active roles in local or international trade NGOs and associations is a very important reference.
- Is there a reference list? Does the company have a list of customers it has sold to in the past?
- How do its representatives speak and behave on the phone? A company that runs down every competitor except itself should be approached with caution.
- Does the company have a factory? If so, are its sales staff regularly present there?
